    Generation & Creation

    How does the generation process work?

    Pick a visual style, describe your idea (or upload a reference image), and we will instantly generate your unique artwork. You can upscale it — and order a print whenever you feel like it.

    What styles are available?

    We offer one of the largest curated collections of artistic style presets available, inspired by classical fine art, expressive painting techniques, and modern illustration. Our styles range from Renaissance and Northern Renaissance influences to bold pop art, surrealism, ink, watercolor, and heavy impasto painting. Each style is carefully crafted to deliver a complete artistic transformation.

    Can I upload my own style reference images?

    Yes. With the Pro and Max plans, you can upload your own style reference images to guide the generation process. This allows you to create artwork inspired by specific visuals or artistic directions.

    With the Light plan, you can choose from our curated style presets or enter a custom style description using free text, but uploading style reference images is not available.

    How many images can I generate?

    Image generation limits depend on your subscription. The Max plan allows you to generate up to 200 images per month, giving you plenty of room to explore and experiment.

    What resolution are the generated images?

    Standard generations are optimized for digital use. For print-ready results, you can use our upscaler to generate ultra-high-resolution images up to 8K, perfect for large-format and gallery-quality prints.

    Can I edit or modify my generated artwork?

    While direct editing isn't available, you can regenerate with adjusted prompts or different style settings to refine your artwork until it's exactly what you envisioned.

    What file formats of images do you accept for generating or upscaling artworks?

    We currently support JPG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF image formats for both generation and upscaling.

    Other image formats are not supported at this time, so please convert them to one of the supported formats before uploading.

    Print Quality & Materials

    What print quality can I expect?

    We print on archival 170gsm, 200gsm and 310gsm matte paper with pigment-based inks for true museum-quality results. Expect vibrant colors, sharp details, and prints that last for decades without fading.

    What paper options are available?

    We offer three premium paper weights: 170gsm for a classic feel, 200gsm for enhanced durability, and 310gsm for a luxurious, gallery-worthy thickness. All papers feature a matte finish that eliminates glare and enhances color depth.

    Are the prints framed?

    Currently, we ship unframed prints to ensure safe delivery and give you the freedom to choose framing that matches your space. The prints are carefully rolled in protective tubes for shipping.

    Framed print options in various styles will be available soon.

    What sizes are available for printing?

    We offer a variety of standard and large format sizes ranging from A4 to A1, as well as custom sizes for special projects.

    Size options are displayed when you proceed to order a print.

    How long will the prints last?

    Our archival-quality inks and papers are designed to last 75+ years when properly displayed away from direct sunlight. Your artwork is truly an investment that will stand the test of time.

    Rights & Ownership

    Do I own the rights to my generated artwork?

    Yes — you own full personal rights to every artwork you generate.

    Commercial use is available on Pro and Max plans; the Light plan is limited to personal use.

    Can I sell my generated artwork?

    Yes, images created with Pro and Max plans may be used for commercial purposes, including selling your artwork.

    The Light plan is limited to personal use.

    Can I use PicturaLabs images commercially?

    Yes, images created with Pro and Max plans may be used for commercial purposes.

    The Light plan is limited to personal use.

    Are my images stored on your servers?

    Your generated images are stored securely in your personal library for easy access. You can delete them at any time from your account. We never share or use your images without permission.

    Can I delete my data?

    Yes. You can delete your photos directly from your library at any time. Simply click the trash bin icon in the bottom-right corner of a generated or upscaled image to delete it.

    Once deleted, the image is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

    If you cancel your subscription, all your data is deleted immediately. As we do not use point-in-time recovery (PITR), deleted data cannot be restored.

    Shipping & Delivery

    How long does shipping take?

    We process your order in 2–3 business days. Shipping then takes 3–5 days within the country and 7–14 days internationally. Every order comes with tracking so you can follow it every step of the way.

    Do you ship internationally?

    Yes! We ship to most countries worldwide. International shipping typically takes 7–14 business days depending on the destination. Customs fees, if applicable, are the responsibility of the recipient.

    How are the prints packaged?

    All prints are carefully rolled and shipped in sturdy protective tubes to prevent any damage during transit. Larger prints may be shipped flat in rigid mailers for optimal protection.

    Can I track my order?

    Yes, every order includes a tracking number that will be emailed to you once your order ships. You can monitor your package's journey from our facility to your doorstep.

    Account & Subscription

    Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

    How to change my account email?

    Changing your account email is not supported at this time. To switch emails, you’ll need to cancel your current subscription and create a new account.

    What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and various local payment methods depending on your region.

    All payments are processed securely by Paddle, our trusted third-party payment provider.

    Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

    Yes, you can change your subscription plan at any time. When upgrading, the new plan takes effect immediately, you are charged for the new plan right away, and any unused credits from your current plan are carried over. A new billing cycle starts with the upgrade. Downgrades take effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle.

    To manage your subscription, simply click “Manage subscription” in the sidebar under your current credit overview inside the app.

    Do unused credits roll over?

    Generation credits are refreshed each billing period and do not roll over to the next month. We encourage you to use your full allocation each month to get the most value from your subscription.

    Is there a free trial? What are the subscription plans for PicturaLabs?

    You can check our current pricing here. You can cancel your subscription anytime, no questions asked. You'll keep access until your current billing period ends.

    Technical & Support

    What browsers are supported?

    PicturaLabs works best on modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the optimal experience, we recommend keeping your browser updated to the latest version.

    Is there a mobile app?

    Currently, PicturaLabs is a web-based platform optimized for both desktop and mobile browsers. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap for future development.

    How do I report a bug or request a new feature?

    If you encounter a bug or have a feature request, we’d love to hear from you.

    Please contact us via our support email support@picturalabs.com. The more details you provide, the faster we can help or ship new features. We listen closely to you and use your feedback to continuously improve the app and introduce new features whenever possible.

    What if my print arrives damaged?

    We stand behind our quality. If your print arrives damaged, contact us within 14 days and we'll make it right with a reprint or refund.
